My next must-read comic

I just found out via an old post on NPR's Monkey See blog about a comic that should be right up my alley: Rex Libris. Who he, you ask? Rex Libris, according to the comic's website, is

the tough-as-nails Head Librarian at Middleton Public Library, and his unending struggle against the forces of darkness. Wearing his distinctive, super-thick bottle glasses and armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons, he strikes fear into recalcitrant borrowers, and can take on virtually any foe, from loitering zombies to fleeing alien warlords who refuse to pay their late fees.

And he might also be immortal. That library at Alexandria -- you know, the library? Yup, he worked there.

So, how is it that I'm just finding out about this now? My friendly neighborhood comic seller and I are going to have to have a talk...

Those folks in Pamplona really know how to have a good time. Hopefully some day, while I'm still young and crazy and fast enough, I'll try my luck at not getting gored.
